Rather like what befell me on Dec. 30 (just over two weeks ago) when I got caught in a hailstorm north of Redding, CA and slid into the highway median wall. Fortunately we escaped with nothing worse than a bent tie rod and a bit of scraped paint, although it did cost a few hundred dollars to repair (and I haven't done anything about the paint yet).
