Mmm...pierogis are the YUM! My step-Grandfather is Irish, was taught to cook by his aunt who was Italian, and ended up specializing in foods such as pierogis and kielbasa. I grew up loving the foods you speak of. Thank you for bringing up delicious memories of my childhood. I think I'm going to go get some potato/cheddar pierogies from my grocers freezer! LOL
