Sir Edward Coke: Warrior.

Imagine a lawyer -- or an attorney general -- with the cojones to stand up to the President and tell him that "no man is above the law", even if they risked imprisonment.

It happened, many years ago, in England, during the reign of James I.

Read about Sir Edward Coke (pronounced "cook") and see why he's in my pantheon of heroes.
