I often make the complaint that Windows -- or Microsoft itself -- is not SEI CMM compliant. But I seem to be the only one around who cares about software engineering standards.
I often say that Microsoft software is "average software for the average user".
I have a copy of Ubuntu, but haven't tried it yet. At least you can't beat the price. :)
