I pulled in to my condo's parking lot at 12:30pm. I can now tell the tale of my recent adventures in Indianapolis, Chicago, and Buffalo. Part 1 is here.

Web 4/15: Ignored the Tax Day protests, although I heard a little bit about them. Spent another afternoon with Mom. D was still sick and couldn't make it. Had dinner at Bob & John's La Hacienda on Hertel Ave. Wonderful antipasto plate! But I ordered the spaghetti. Big mistake. It was very bland and the noodles were soggy. Next time I'm getting the pizza. Liz & Louis drove me to the train station.

Thu 4/16: Spent all night on the train. Got little sleep. Pulled into Chicago at around 10:00 CDT. Called Mom to let her know I made it OK. Was hit up by another stranger in need who wanted money for bus fare. I offered to buy him some food but he insisted on the cash. He got $5. (Note to self: Next time I go to Union Station in Chicago, don't carry any cash and only use the debit card.) Walked to the Greyhound station, where I was much safer. Took the bus back to Indianapolis. Had an interesting conversation with a man who was off to walk the Appalachian Trail. Paid a small fortune in parking fees. Had dinner at Steak & Shake. Crashed at my friend Chris's place.

Fri 4/17: Had lunch at India Garden with Chris and a few other New Warrior brothers. Met with my career coach. Washed the car, since it was dusty after sitting in underground parking for a week. Went to Lodge. Went back to Chris's place.

Sat 4/18: Packed the car and drove to Dayton. Breakfast was at Steak & Shake (which is rapidly becoming one of my favorite places for cheap eats).
