For myself on myself, I prefer true floral scents, or a floral & spice mixture. I love Old Spice, & Avon's Black Suede , but not on every man. I loathe musk colognes, Perfume or after shaves, on anyone and everyone. It really is a nasty scent on far more people than it will ever be good on. If a person wants a musk, stick to their own natural body scents, far sexier, imo.
For me, scent aids in setting moods more than memories. If someone smells like a fruit salad, or baked goods, I'll get hungry all right, but not for them. I like Axe on my son, but not on one of my best friends. (told him so too) Perfumes, aftershaves, & colognes need to be chosen according to what works with a person's personal body chemistry, life style, & personality. They should never be bought & used simply because they are what is most popular, or the latest thing, or any stupid reason like that. They are supposed to be a part of who we are and actually want others to notice about us.
At the same time, I agree they never should be part of Bio war fare. If I can smell you from beyond 1&1/2 feet away, you have way to much on, & need to learn how to properly apply it.
