Consulting the LJ hive mind....

....about sound and music composition tools that run under Linux. Is there a package comparable to Cakewalk Home Studio? And are there MIDI players that will do mutiple tracks?

I am assuming you have already tried 'audacity', although I am suspect that might not be looking for.

I did. I like it. But it's more comparable to Sound Forge XP than a musical composition and editing tool.
