poltr1Well, I did it.
After nearly three years here, I ponied up the $25 to have a paid account for a year.
So what does this get me? First of all, 12 more user icons, for a grad total of 15. My own LJ email address (or forwarding address) and web subdomain. The ability to set up polls on my LJ. Posting by phone. And a friends-of-friends list. And other stuff that I probably won't take advantage of. And the satisfaction that I'm now a contributing member to the LJ community, which I'm sure makes the the programmers at LiveJournal happier.
Now to start creating and uploading some more icons.
And look out -- The Wife has expressed an interest in setting up a weblog of her own.
