Instead of being at FKO 15, here's how I spent my weekend.

Fri 4/1: It was a cloudy and rainy day and night. I worked for four hours on enhancing the consignment shop's database to track checks paid out to consigners. Stopped in at a couple of Goodwill thrift stores to look for some inexpensive goodies. Got pizza for dinner. I skipped pizza. Then things went downhill from there. I was back to my grouchy self. Ended up going off alone for dinner at Panera Bread. A half a sandwich, a half a cup of soup, and I was still hungry. Stopped in at the Hunan Gourmet Chinese restaurant. It's easy to miss; it's in a plain gray brick building next to Buckeye Pools. There's nothing on the outside that identifies it as a Chinese restaurant, other than the sign. The food was OK; it tasted like they added sugar to it. Is it supposed to be that way?

Sat 4/2: A little better. Took M to Kindermusik. Grabbed a latte afterward. Drove around and let R visit the consignment stores while M was napping. We found a babysitter! One of R's co-workers, Jolene, offered to babysit M while R and I went off for a nice dinner alone to celebrate R's birthday. We ended up at Sushi Bar Akashi. R had the teriyaki salmon; I had futo maki and nabeyaki udon. Afterward, we went to Big Lots to do a little shopping. I picked up a Shark mini-vac for $20. We picked up M and went back home.

Sun 4/3: A sunny day. Gave R her presents from me: a CD and two DVDs. Set all but two clocks -- the one on the living room VCR and the timer for the light. M conked out before we could go out, so I did the shopping chores alone. I stopped at Complete Petmart for cat food, Batteries Plus for a new battery for a UPS, and at Subway and Chipotle for food and gift certificates. I also picked up dinner for R at Bravo! (She loves the Penne Mediterranean -- ziti with pine nuts, sun-dried tomatoes, feta cheese, and a chicken broth sauce.
