I got a bite!
Feb. 3rd, 2006 11:38 amAt the risk of jinxing myself.....
Earlier this week, I put an application in at the nearest Micro Center I love to shop there, the sales people are knowledgeable (and fellow computer geeks), and the selection is excellent.
Then I got a call from a headhunter in Florida who saw my resume on monster.com, had a couple of opportunities in this area, and it looks like one of them is starting to pan out. It happens to be one of my old stomping grounds.
I've had two phone interviews so far, and the third (with the main customer) is on Monday. Instead of programming, I'd be doing project management. That's fine with me; I think I'm getting too old for software development. So it's a logical next step for me and my career. Even though it's only a 12-month gig.
Next question(s): Who knows UML and how easy is it to learn? And is it worth getting certified as a project manager?
With me good luck and success.
