Fri 8/11: A somewhat boring day at work. Read through Java 2 for Dummies, downloaded and installed JCreator LE (a free visual development environment for Java), and wrote two Java programs: a dice roller simulator, and a dice roller simulator with exception handling. I'm still no expert at the language, but I think I know enough to get by. I'll need to get a Java Foundation Classes reference, though. Dinner was Donato's Pizza.

Sat 8/12: A recharge day. I think I slept half the day away. Lunch was at McDonald's. Dinner was from Chow's Asian Bistro. Accomplished very little. If I had gone to the Bismarck masked ball, I probably would have either left or conked out at around 9 pm.

Sun 8/13: M's birthday. Had goetta and eggs for breakfast. Spent the afternoon (and too much money) at Chuck E Cheese's, and then went to Toys R Us. M simply adored the Tonka toddler bed, but we wanted to find something more girly. We found a Disney Princess toddler bed, which we took home home and assembled after dinner at Arby's. Shortly after I finished assembly, she crawled into her new bed and promptly fell asleep. (Now I can get online, read my mail, and catch up on LJ!)
