Remembering David Alway......

I just read the news and many posts that tnatj, also known in real life as David Alway, passed away this morning.

I'm sad.

This was totally unexpected.

Dave was a perennial attendee at the filk cons I went to, but I didn't get to actually meet him and chat with him until GaFilk two years ago. He was making his #fikhaven buttons by the registration table, and talking with me on various topics. As others have already mentioned, he was a "gentle giant" in the filk and fandom communities. He was truly a joy to talk with.

I'm angry with myself for not spending more time with him when I had the chances to do so. But none of us know when it's time to join the great big filk circle in the sky.

He will be missed.

Another star passes away....

I can't believe I'm scooping filkertom on these obits.

mooneflowerz told me that Yvonne DeCarlo, best known to us as Lily Munster, passed away on Monday. She was 84.
