Today......
Feb. 17th, 2007 01:38 pmIt's snowing out again.
I managed to take care of my one "must-do" task today: deposit my paycheck. (One of these days, I'll apply for direct deposit.) THere are a few "should-do" tasks, but they can wait until tomorrow.
And I just don't feel like doing anything else today except stay in bed, watch TV, and maybe take a nap. (If I had a sweetie, and she was with me, we'd be ... um... occupied with each other. >:-) )

Stairway to Heaven? Freebird? No. Neither of them. Two of my favorites are "Green Grass and High Tides" by the Outlaws, and "Grendel" by Marillion. I found one of my Marillion tapes, one sent to me by a Bitnet relay "pen-pal" from Holland when I was still in college. On the tape was "Real to Reel", "Market Square Heroes", and a few singles.
Grendel is an incredible 17-minute magnum opus which, according to Wikipedia, recounts part of the Beowulf story from Grendel's point of view.
I can kick up some powerful energies if I imitate Fish (the lead singer) or imagine myself performing this song -- especially the finale.
( Lyrics from the finale from 'Grendel' )
