Remember that piece of mail I was looking for a few days ago? I found it last night. It was in an envelope box containing last year's financial records. Essentially, it got misfiled.
If I had unlimited income -- and I don't -- I'd rent about 1000 sq.ft. of office space and use that as both office and storage space. I like to pile-sort, but if there's no place for the piles, I can't get started.

What made me think of it in this case is that it was an incredible enlightenment for me to realize that it made *sense* that I always wanted to pile stuff not file. Once I knew this and started using vertical stackers my desk got a LOT more organized!!
Another book that has a lot of great stuff on this even if you aren't ADD is:
ADD friendly ways to organize your life.
But especially that first one - give it a look, maybe it will make you go "AHA!!" like it did me. :-) (I also learned that hooks are my best friend for clothes - I tend to pile clothes but partly that is from not wanting to hang up slightly worn but not dirty yet clothes. Hooks.) ;-)
Good luck!
