Harry Potter speculation time.....

1) Voldemort or one of the Death Eaters will kill the Dursleys.
2) How old is Luna Lovegood again? Could her and Harry be...*gasp*....an item?
3) Neville Longbottom will have a major role to play.
4) Harry will not die. (It would suck majorly if he did.) Nor will Ron or Hermione.
5) Two of the characters that will die are Hagrid and Snape.
6) Voldemort will be toast. (And there will be Much Rejoicing.)
7) Lucius and Draco Malfoy will also die in the Great War.
8) Harry will be the next Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher at Hogwarts.

I *kinda* agree with you...

I'll post mine here as I may make a post about these at a later date... just dont wanna do it now.

1. Harry and the Dark Lord will both die
2. Snape may die, but not before his name is cleared. Snape is NOT evil.
3. Ron and Hermione become even more close
4. Draco will turn out to be good and not be a death eater, he will fight along side of Harry and co..
5. Dumbledore is not dead.

I agree with #1-#4. JKR has stated that she will NOT be writing any more Harry Potter books. I think she's going to pull a Richenbach Falls number and kill both Harry and Voldemort. Dumbledore is dead. Deal with it.

Dumledore is dead. The whole point o him dying, well one of them, was that Harry hd to realise that he was alone. That there were no more adults who he could hide behind. That getting rid of Voldemort was his job. If Dumbledore is not dead I'll be very dissapointed, people die, it's that simple/

As I said above, I just threw that in as an odd twist. I know Dumbledore is as likely to come back as Sirius. I made these "perdictions" all in fun in the middle last night. I didn't mean to start a serious HP discussion. So for what it is worth I agree with you.

Wishful thinking on #5. Yes, it would be nice to see Dumbledore alive again (a la Gandalf and John Sheridan) but I can't think of a single example in the wizard world where someone was brought back to life. (Does You-Know-Who count?) That sounds like very dark arts to me.

Anyway, for me, Dumbledore's death parallels the classic Hero's Journey: Man gains mentor, man loses mentor, man has to fight alone.

The L.A. Times Printed a photo of the last two pages of the epilogue yesterday. I read it and I think it is wonderful. I expect fans will think so, too.

Tomorrow I'm going to see the movie with a friend although I haven't kept up at all...I know I will enjoy it anyhow.

If Dumbledore is really dead, then Snape is really evil. Avada Kedavra doesn't work unless the caster's ill will against the target is complete and unfettered by doubts.

Why is it that everyone else in the world seems to have read different books than I did where Draco is concerned? The kid was a waste of protoplasm when he was first introduced and has done nothing to suggest to me that he has the seeds of his own redemption inside or that it would be worth any of the other character's effort to break stride so as not to step on him. Snape is nasty and very easy to dislike, but at least he's ambiguous. Draco is just a slug on my tomato.

Yes, it was. It was apparently a photograph of the text that was supposedly downloaded and photographed and uploaded again. It was perfectly clear. If I were waiting for the end and didn't want it spoiled, I'd be pissed. One thing I will say is that there is no guarantee that version is the real one. It will be interesting to find out.
