I tend to agree with Redaxe. I dont' agree with or LIKE abortion. but the alternative is a holocaust waiting to happen again. The matter shoudl be left entirely in the hands of the woman, her partner if involved, her caregiver(s) and clergy (if available).
I don't like it but sometimes there really is NO alternative. Those that would outlaw would endanger the lives of so many women. Every woman that is forced to stop an ectopic pregnancy could be criminalized simply because it DOES stop a beating heart - but if allowed to continue there is untellable circumstance - at the very least impaired fertility, at worst maternal AND fetal death. Then there are those precious babies that simply WILL NOT survive birth (anencephaly for example) what about those poor mothers that agonize over that decision - it woudl criminalize that as well.
These right wing extremist would outlaw abortion even in cases of rape or incest. Sorry I wont' tell my daughter that she MUST carry a child that is the result of a criminal hate filled act. Not no way, not no how. Yes, ther is always emergency contraception but most rape goes unreported sadly so that would screw a lot of women.
I say this as a woman, as a miscarriage survivor, as a Mother to two beautiful daughters and expecting another daughter. I WILL NOT SEE THEIR CHOICE STOLEN.
