Buckeye Blitzed......
Jun. 27th, 2004 11:49 pmNote to self: Do not eat a pint of Graeter's Ice Cream in one sitting, even if it melts. Stretch it out to two sittings or more, to savor the flavor. Especially if it contains chocolate! (But it's so goooood! I can't stop eating it!)
Friday was pizza night. This week was my turn to choose the pizza place, so we had The Flying Pizza. Dessert was from Ritter's Frozen Custard.
Saturday, R had a dentist appointment in the morning. After she came back, we took The Girl to her Kindermusik class. Lunch was split -- R had moussaka from Gyro Palace; I had a chicken taco and an enchilada from Tacos Mexico Lindo. Then we went for a ride since she conked out in the car seat after class. (Nope, we didn't make it out to Midwestcon -- sorry
zencuppa). We ended up at a scrapbook store in Beavercreek. Then we went to a local park where The Girl got to enjoy swinging on the swingset. Dinner was hot dogs (courtesy of the local Speedway). I made a Graeter's run since R wanted ice cream after dinner. And we saw Monsters Inc.
Sunday, we went for another short afternoon trip. Lunch was takeout at Jersey Mike's. I had my usual (#13 on white bread, Mike's way, no salt); R had a grilled chicken salad. Ate lunch at a small park adjoining an elementary school. I discovered a small walking trail that paralleled a smal stream. Then we went driving again since The Girl was sleeping in the car seat. This time we went to Middletown and back, passing through Moraine, West Carrolton, Miamisburg, Frankin, and Carlisle. We returned and did some shopping at Babies R Us. When we got home, I inflated the inflatable swimming pool. filled it with water, and M got to splash the water in it. She didn't actually set foot inside it; the water was too cold. Dinner came from O'Charley's in the form of salads (again) -- I had the black & blue sirloin; R had the chicken pecan. Yummy!
No wonder why I have a problem losing weight -- there's so much good food out there to eat!
How was your weekend? What foods did you get to enjoy?
