Using classical music to keep loiterers away even works in college computer labs. Some friends of mine who were in the computer science department of Daemen College needed to work on a project. But the lab was filled with freshmen working on their Minitab projects. One of them was a student consultant. And so he put on some classical music in the lab. Slowly, the freshmen finished up their work and left the computer room. The CS students soon had the lab to themselves.
