Sick me, sick computers.....

Not only are my computers sick, but it appears that I've come down with the flu.
My joints are achy, my throat is scratchy and dry, I'm tired, and I'm drinking hot liquid like a fiend.
Breakfast 1 was heat-and-eat-waffles and coffee. Breakfast 2 was a biscotti and coffee. Lunch was Bush's chili. It has meat, kidney beans, pinto beans, peppers, and a tangy sauce (I'm estimating about 1000-1500 Scoville Heat Units). THe verdict: Not bad, Cousin Drew. Cut back on the salt, cook it a little while longer, and you'll have it.
As for the sick patients....
orac (the desktop): I hooked up another external drive to orac via USB. I tried to backup, and it froze. It turns out that I'm still having problems with the Storage Adapter Bridge Module (TPP) driver. I rebooted in safe mode. (And I still hate when safe mode rearranges my icons.) I unplugged the drive, rebooted, and it appears to be working properly.
tardis (the laptop): It's still having problems with the Storage Adapter Bridge Modules (TPP), and now, my wireless card isn't working. Grr! Argh! I couldn't log in at two different places, so I tried the old uninstall-reinstall-reboot cycle. Nope. Now I'm getting runtime errors. Maybe once I get a patch for the C++ runtime libraries, it might work.
slave (the spare desktop): Working fine. Can someone direct me to a guide as to how to use KDE? I have both Win95 OSR2 and Mandrake Linux 8.2 on it.
