Thanksgiving at home, alone....
Nov. 23rd, 2004 08:37 amWell, it's going to be just the three of us at Thanksgiving this year. R doesn't have the available vacation time to cover for a trip to Buffalo to visit with my parents. And I'm not about to go up there alone.
The menu as of right now: A 3 lb turkey breast (an excuse to use the old roaster my parents gave me), sweet potato casserole (recipe halved), mashed potatoes, corn, stuffing, cranberry sauce, apple and pumpkin pies. (Yeah, I know, it's starch-heavy, but that's what R wants and is used to.)
Is anyone out there brave enough to try Susan Stamberg's Cranberry Relish Tradition? I considered it, but since R isn't a cranberry person, I'd be the only one eating it.
(And for you chocoholics out there, here are some Pure Chocolate Recipes for the Holidays.)
