Where's Merlin?

I started the day without the help of my black cat, Merlin. He comes by to "help" when I'm getting ready for the day. Usually "helping" means rubbing his face against me while I'm sitting on the john, standing on the toilet (lid down) while I'm drying myself from the shower, or standing on the vanity while I'm trying to shave, apply deodorant, swab my ears, etc.

I was starting to worry about him when he didn't come to the food dish after I filled it. I was out of town on Saturday night and didn't see him sice I came back home. I was starting to wonder if he was still alive. So I went into the pantry, pulled out a bag of kitty treats, and shook it as a form of "roll call". Merlin came out of The Ex's old closet and joined the other cats in a quick round of kitty treats.

He found himself a very good hiding spot.
