There's just something about major 7th and minor 7th chords on a guitar that just bliss me out. I can't explain it. It's like it does something good to my brain waves.

Didn't someone do a psychoacoustic study on some of the repetitive phrases of The Who, and showed its effect on people?

Maybe that's why so many people like to listen to Pink Floyd to chill out. They use a lot of those chords in their music.

I'm listening to the Division Bell right now and can hear the Em-CM7-Bm7-CM7-Bm7-Em progression, along with Steven Hawking's "voice" saying "It doesn't have to be like this. All we need to do is make sure we keep talking." (Which, I understand, was lifted from a British Telecom commercial.)
