Am.Idol: Who do I think will be in the bottom three this week? Bucky, Lisa, and Elliott. I just wasn't impressed with their perormances last night. Taylor was his usual great showman, but as Simon said, it's a singing competition, and I didn't think it was a good song to use for it with all the repetition. (Sorry about that, athenawindsong.)

BTW, before I forget.....Happy birthday miari!

I totally agree with you about Taylor's performance, which is why I didn't do my weekly swoon.

As for the other contestants, I have no preferences of who goes next so long as Taylor stays on until the Final Two - but I have a feeling the other half of the Final two will be Chris. I don't get his popularity, unless America is poised to welcome back the glam hair bands of the 80's - which is exactly what he sounds like. Look at Bo Bice's sucess. Either way, Kevin HAS GOT TO GO!

Why do I like Chris? Because he always puts his own spin on the songs he sings.

Honestly, I didn't like Kevin's singing style. Just too Josh Groban-ish, and JG makes me hurl. If yer gonna sing opera, be an opera star; if yer gonna sing theatre, be a theatre star, if yer gonna sing pop, be a pop star. JG's vibrato combined with his voice range makes my eyebrow twitch.

About Chris... Philosophically, I disagree with Chris changing things to suit his style. That's all well and good if you do an album, but on a show that puts performers through their paces, you should be true to the art, not force it to conform to YOU. I'm rather perturbed this doesn't disqualify him. The others try their best to have their own personal styles show through while remaining true to the art, why should Chris be the exception?

Maybe I'm just biased... Being a Taylor groupie is a full-time job, even when he picks the wrong song.

I agree. First thing I said about "Not Fade Away" was "Wow, one of my favorite songs! Definitely not one to show off your singing chops though."

Kevin will be like that red haired dude from a couple seasons ago. In way too long.
