poltr1Fri 8/4: Left from work early so I could take M to the orthopaedic doc to get her cast off. (Last month, she broke her arm when she fell off a slide at day care.) Had dinner at the Spaghetti Warehouse. I can't explain it, but for the past month, M has wanted to eat nothing except spaghetti. Except for her "sippy" (pediatric formula).
Sat 8/5: Had lunch at Donato's Pizza. Went to the Dayton Mall to look for a Build-A-Bear Workshop store. Unfortunately, there wasn't one at that mall. (I found out later that day that there's one at another local mall.) Spent several dollars at the in-mall arcade (Pocket Change) playing Skeeball. Had take-out Chinese for dinner. (Chop Suey for $4 ain't bad.) Then I went to the annual Skinner party while R and M stayed home. As always, great food and conversation, and the signature chocolate tray.
Sun 8/6: Had lunch at Roc-A-Fellas, where M had (you guessed it!) spaghetti. Went to the Mall at Fairfield Commons and found the Build-A-Bear Workshop store. The store offers ready-to-assemble stuffed animals -- pick out the ready-made "shell", fill it with stuffing, sew it shut, register its name, and take it home. M picked out a Cookie Monster, which we constructed on-site. We even got the sound module for a few dollars more. Dinner was from City Barbecue. R had a chicken sandwich; I had a half-slab of ribs. Watched Ferngully: The Last Rainforest after dinner.
