Today, like all Mondays, started too early. Despite the rain and relative coolness, I made it to work, but I was dragging all day. I was cold and tired. I put on a sweatshirt to help keep warm. Even a bowl of soup at lunch didn't warm me up. I ended up going home a couple of hours early. I called two men from the mens' group (as per our group agrement), telling them I wouldn't be there.

Some days, I just don't have enough spoons to get me through the day.

Why does my body do this every so often? Is this a disease, or just a symptom? Is it what I'm eating or not eating that's causing this? Or is it something else?

The spoon theory is right on. I use that to explain some of my days to friends and family. I'm glad you have that analogy to use.

Bipolar is the why for my low-spoons. Though I suppose the theory applies to everyone and even those with loads of spoons in their pockets run out every now and then.
