My favorite middle-east fusion and bellydance band, Snakes Rising, is playing three gigs in the region in the next couple of months.

Dayton, OH: Sat. Jan. 13, Kira's Oasis

Louisville, KY: Sat. Jan. 27, Jenicca's

Columbus, OH: Sat. Feb. 3, 94th Aerosquadron Restaurant and Cabaret

I should see if they'd be willing to play a gig at my virtual tavern, the Line of Death Bar & Grill. :)

But seriously....it's my hope that some of my LJ-friends in Dayton and Columbus will come and see the show!

Look for the bellydancer up on glass goblets. I get a bit of a break during a drum solo at that point, but can't watch her otherwise I'll get mesmerized and miss my cue. Lena's bellydancing balancing goblet act is like watching the most beautiful mermaid imaginable dance a siren song.

The dancers we have lined up for the Tour are all best in their represented regions. They are all teachers, some even run their own studios. From out of the corner of my eye during rehearsal (gotta focus on sheet music most of the time), I can tell you this will be our most breathtaking performance yet.
