1. Do you plan on being more active with the Bismarck now that you have a little more free time?

I'd like to, but as you know, the Bismarck is not my only social outlet. I'm going to miss the anniversary party because I'll be at a Snakes Rising concert that night. I may also miss the Masquerade in August because it may conflict with a friend's annual house party.

One of the things I find disappointing about the Bismarck, and most other clubs, is that the members want to see and know only one side of me. No one in the group has asked about my involvement in the filk community, the mens' group that I'm in, or the local pagan community.

2. When you were 10, what was your dream job?

I wanted to be a disc jockey.

3. Do you like musicals? If so, which is your favorite?

Yes. In fact, I was in the pit orchestra for 3 out of 4 years in high school. We did Guys and Dolls ('79), the Music Man ('80), and The Boy Friend ('81). My favorite is Music Man, followed closely by Guys and Dolls.

4. Your walking down the street, a lady falls that was in front of you, what do you do?

I go up to her and offer to help her up.

5. How did you find me on Live journal?

I honestly don't remember, although I suspect it was through mooneflowerz. I'm glad we met!

-Does anyone really know about them? I mean I know of other interest you hold due to LJ, but do you bring up other interest when yakin' it up with the fellow Bismarck members? Sometimes with the group you gotta take the bull by the horns to get noticed. It took me years of being in the group to get comfy enough to do that though.

Ooops hit send to early! Silly audi!

I love The Music Man, we did that as a musical when I was in HS for the Muse Machine. In HS I was always in the orchestra pit for the local high school musicals.. that was always fun as they always had to write the viola part for me, or I had to play the second violin parts.

Twilight Zone Moment.

Dude. I met one of the members of Snakes Rising in Denny's the other day cos...get this. He looks SCARILY like Alex. They even have the same HAT. Apparently, ever since Alex moved here and we started going late at night, the Dennys staff has been taking bets as to when we'd run into each other, and if some bizarre black-hole type event would happen if/when hey did.

So, in chatting with this guy (whose name escapes me, although he cheerfully agreed to be called "the fake Alex", since the staff had secretly been calling Alex "The fake....." whatever dude's name was), we talked about where we should have met before, and he said "Well, ever heard of my band, Snakes Rising?" and I had to laugh. What if Alex and I HAD gone with y'all to that one show?

Spoooooky.

Sounds like our illustrious banjo player, Owen. Although, that could be Curtis, our cute ex-bass player (depending on how long ago this was). If he was a thin, somewhat middle aged man with salt and pepper hair and an inability to stand still (due to too much Mountain Dew consumption, I kid you not), that was Owen. If he was a 20 something, tall and skinny kid, that was Curtis. Of course, it could be Curtis' dad, TR; an older, distinguished gentleman with much more salt than pepper and a beard.

Ah! Yes. Curtis! That was his name. They called Alex "The fake Curtis". His hat has a...crow on the front, or summat.

What's spooky is that Curtis looks like my buddy [livejournal.com profile] irishcoyote so much that I think they must have been separated at birth...

Yup. Curtis is drop-dead rock star adorable, but waaaay too young for me.

Next time you see him, tell him Dawn says Hi.
