Why I Blog.....

A recent discussion between ohiblather and eringoblog touched on on 5 reasons why they blog.

So why do I blog?

1. Blogging enables me to let people know the goings-on in my life, without having to repeat myself.

2. Blogging gives me the opportunity to write about anything that's on my mind. One of the mottoes I sometimes use for my blog is "From aardvarks to zymurgy, and anything in between."

3. Blogging enables me to write about my life and look at it later, when I'm in a different state of mind. That gives me a new perspective on things.

4. Blogging provides me a sounding board when I'm looking for advice. I often receive good advice from people who reply to my entries.

5. Blogging allows me to keep up with other friends in my life who also blog.

re: advice. That's one I didn't mention, but I definitely agree. I find LJ especially good for that sort of thing. :)
