It's been a while since I've posted a TW-3. Mostly becasuse there was either nothing significant to report, or the lack of comments on past TW-3 posts.

Anyway, here's what I did this long weekend.

Fri 4/6: M's daycare was closed, and R couldn't get the day off, so I was on daddy duty. We went to Bob Evans for breakfast. Then we went shopping at Big Lots. We had lunch at R's workplace, in the café in the building she works in. In the afternoon, we went to the Boonshoft Museum. I was able to drop M off with R before she went home from work, so I could join [livejournal.com profile] stormraven37 and Cindy (NOLJ) at the Dublin Pub to see Mother Grove, Indy's soon-to-be-famous kilt rock band. [livejournal.com profile] athenawindsong made a surprise appearance; I thought she was going to be in Columbus all day.

Sat 4/7: Ran some errands in the morning, including depositing my paycheck, eating breakfast, getting a haircut, and making the monthly recycle run. Went back to Big Lots to get some things I missed the previous day, including a 50-disc spindle of DVD media for $15. Spent the afternoon futzing with the computer. My DVD drive still can't recognize CD media, but it can recognize (and burn!) DVD media. My CD burner is 7 years old, and thus can't handle the higher-speed CD media, so it was off to the Computer Zoo for a new CD burner. While I was installing the new drive, [livejournal.com profile] athenawindsong called me and suggested we go shopping at the Jeffersonville Outlet Mall for some everyday china. After finishing the install, I picked her up and we went shopping.

Sun 4/8: (Snow on Easter. Go figure.) Slept in. Visited M at R's place. M was too hyper to go to a movie, so I thought about taking her to the local Burger King, which has an indoor play area. By the time we got there, she fell asleep, so I pulled into the drive thru to get a Whopper and some coffee. After finishing my lunch, I drove around some more. I stopped at Meijer to do some more shopping. I also called my parents from the car. I'm glad they didn't ask me if I went to church today. I returned to the Burger King, only to find they were closed for the day. M had an early Easter dinner at McDonalds. I was starting to feel lonely, since I didn't have any local family to have Easter dinner with. After dropping off M at R's place, I went to Bravo for dinner and drowned my sorrows in a grilled portabella mushroom, Pasta Bravo and tiramisu. I returned home to futz with the computer some more. I used to have my desktop (orac) and laptop (tardis) configured in a peer-to-peer network, but after the XP upgrade, I lost that. I can now see orac from tardis, but not the other way around. Then I tried to install Java on orac, but during the installation, my computer spontaneously rebooted, and any attempt to reinstall Java resulted in errors.
