TW-3 for May 25-28, 2007.....

Fri 5/25: Had the day off, as M's day care was closed and R couldn't get the day off. We had breakfast at Bob Evans. Then we stopped at my insurace agent's office to take care of some insurance business. M got a nice coloring book and a nice box of crayons (16 crayons in the box). Had lunch with R. Then M and I left to see Shrek the Third. R was good during the first third of the movie, fidgety during the second third (I actually took her out of the theater for a minute), and asleep the final third. I thought the movie was decent. Then we hung out at my place where M got to play some computer games. R picked her up around 6 pm. Soon after, I checked LJ, and dropped everything to get dinner for athenawindsong, who was in a bad way and needed some cheering up. Met adoraluna there. Hung out for a while. athenawindsong suggested we go to The Greening, a regional pagan gathering sponsored by the Pagan Community Council of Ohio (PCCO). It was cheaper than going to Marcon, and she'd be with me, so I agreed.

Sat 5/26: Slept in. Took care of some much-needed gardening while I waited for athenawindsong to pick me up. Got to the camp, amidst confusing and convoluted directions. (Were we given the scenic route, or were the directions intentionally confusing?) Attended sessions on tarot and pagan parenting. Didn't buy anything from the dealers, but got a local business contact for future purchases. Had dinner, watched the charity auction (Lonnie and Beaker were quite entertaining, and Silver was doing a very serious Vanna White), and attended the bonfire. We left around 11 pm, using a different set of directions. Overall, I had a great time. I may go back for their Labor Day weekend gathering.

Sun 5/27: Planted the butterfly bush, which didn't get done the previous day. Spent the afternoon with M, taking her to the Boonshoft Museum. Saw my friends Brad and Beth there, who had out-of-town relatives this weekend. Had dinner with M and R at the Golden Dragon. Once again, R managed to push my buttons. I resent being ordered around, and R continues to do that. Once again, rode to athenawindsong's rescue when her cat got sick and needed to be taken to the emergency vet. I loaned her my cat carrier and off we went.

Mon 5/28: Slept in. Had breakfast at the local Waffle House. Did some shopping at Dollar General and Big Lots. Caught up on email and LJ. Paid some bills online. (My cell phone provider's web site is SLOW today! So slow that I managed to write a large portion of this entry while waiting for the pages to load.) Gotta do some cleaning today, although I don't know where to start -- the living room, the kitchen, the loft, or the garage.
