According to this rec.music.filk thread the San Diego filkers appear to be OK. Ditto the LA filkers (in a separate r.m.f thread).

Thank you for asking. I haven't been at livejournal for a few days. We are relatively unaffected by the fires other than the stress of seeing them on the news, worry about loved ones close to the fire (my sister almost had to evacuate) and the terrible, terrible air quality. The ash is everywhere in the air and it tends to press the heat from the day down on us, so it is gloomy and weird and uncomfortable all day.
