I spent the morning sleeping in, with Marcus (my big orange cat) laying next to me in bed. I'm his "cuddle buddy".
I got up around noon, showered, got a haircut, dropped off the rent for my storage unit, had breakfast at Bob Evans, and went to work for a few hours in an attempt to make up for some lost time this week. While I was at work, I checked email and LJ, as I typically do. Lo and behold, the firewall at work now blocks any traffic from livejournal.com. Damn.
After work, I went home, fried up some stew meat and microwaved some Tater Tots. That was tonight's dinner.

Date: 2008-04-20 03:41 am (UTC)Our net nanny has been amusing me lately. As you might remember, one of my hobbies is playing fantasy baseball; there are any number of sites dedicated to the hobby and most are blocked. One site, though, Baseball Musings, isn't a purely fantasy site but rather a generic baseball site. But it's a part of a fantasy baseball group, which has banner ads on the site (part of how it's paid for, I'd guess), and those get blocked by the nanny. I wonder how long it is until IT sees the record of the banner ad sites being blocked and blacklists the whole thing. (IT at work is totally incompetent at doing anything we really need done. But when it comes to making life harder by implementing "security" policies, they're Right There. I wish we could just do our own technical work.)
