Been busy....

...helping two non-LJ friends in Middletown move out of their house, in which they've lived for 36 years. Helped out for 8 hours on Saturday, all day Monday (yesterday), and all day Tuesday (today). They need to have everything out of the house by noon Wednesday. Lots of stuff got thrown out, lots of stuff got packed and loaded in the U-Haul truck, and a few things ended out at the curb (which were picked up promptly by people driving by).

My body's tired, but I'm going back for more.

Oh, that must have been a job and a half. When we moved my mother to Air Force Village back in 2004 she had been living in that house for nearly 30 years and had the accumulated junk of 53 years of marriage to sort though.

Not an easy job, even considering the fact that we were going to let an estate liquidator handle the estate sale and the house sale.

Oh that is good you were able to help them!! I am back on a 10lbs weight lift restriction because of a NEW hernia they found and I am not much use (not unless they wanted a bitchy woman around to boss ppl around, I could do that well enough lol!)

I would of helped with the cleaning Tuesday, but I had obligations with mum to perform.
