poltr1Not too much out-of-the-ordinary things going on in the Little House of Chaos. Time for some tidbits:
Is it live or is it digital?: Citing a shortage of buglers in the US military, the DoD has collaborated with an American electronics company to create a device that is inserted into the bell of a bugle and plays "Taps" while a soldier mimes playing. More info: www.ceremonialbugle.com. At least they're no longer playing a recording of "Taps" from boom boxes.
Another great scientist has passed on: Edward Teller, the "Father of the H-bomb", passed away in his home in Stanford, California today. He was 95. Here's the obituary from CNN.com..
