"Get off my TV!"

Every so often, while channel surfing, I occasionally come across one of a small handful of people that I have no desire to listen to. I'll either press the mute button while saying "Shut up!" or hurriedly switch the channel while saying "Get off my TV!"
Right now, the list is rather short: Pat Robertson, Bill O'Reilly, and Nancy Grace.
I don't care for Robertson or his 666 Club because of his dominionist neocon views. Plus he dared call the family of one of my best friends "liberals who were out to undermine the fabric of America" only because they requested the local school board to hold a holiday concert instead of a Christmas concert. (The family is Sikh.)
O'Reilly is Faux News' resident pit bull. From the few times I've watched him, I noticed he interrupts his guests rather frequently. Someone should bitch-slap him or give him a pie in the face.
Grace is the late-night justicemonger on CNN Headline News. Judge, jury, and executioner. Like O'Reilly, she interrupts her guests. And I thought Judge Judy was heartless. Ditto the bitch-slap and/or pie treatment for her.
What is it about court shows these days? The judges are injecting drama by scolding either the plaintiff or the defendant. Do they really need to do that, or is that just for the ratings? Judge Wapner never did that to the people in his court.
I wish I could get my cable TV a la carte. I shouldn't have to pay for channels I don't watch or have any desire to watch, like Trinity Broadcasting Network (which I call the Come To Jesus Channel), Faux News, or the Catholic Channel (aka Eternal Word Televsion Network aka EWTN).
The shopping channels bring in revenue without commercials -- okay, the product pitches *are* commercials -- and occasionally have an interesting product. But I've yet to buy something that was featured on QVC or HSN or other home shopping channels.
