Where's the Beeb?

So I woke up early this morning and my eyes still hurt. I thought I'd play with the "new" radio. I found WWV (the US atomic clock time) at 5 and 10 MHz, and CHU (Canada's atomic clock time) at 3.33 MHz. But I can't find the BBC World Service. After some time searching online, I found out that the BBC no longer broadcasts via shortwave to the US. I guess I'll have to get my British news fix through my local NPR station, between midnight and 5 am.

There is always BBC World News on PBS if you want to watch the tele.. it is on at 4 or 5 am though... go figure. It is where I get my real news fix when up.

Many NPR stations now have a program called The World which is nominally a cooperative effort between the big Boston public radio station and the BBC, but as near as I can tell all the actual news stories are from the BBC. (All delivered by BBC reporters I recognize and many the exact same audio as I got from News Hour.) Given the choice I'd listen directly to BBC news, but The World is better than no BBC.
