This is why I never discussed politics at work -- I'd get into arguments with my co-workers, and it would end by agreeing to disagree.
I grew up in a Democratic household. Dad was a member of the UAW, so I got to hear a lot from the labor point of view, and not from the big-business point of view. Those views became my views, even though I lean more toward the libertarian point of view: social liberal, fiscal conservative.
To be honest, both the Democratic and Republican parties have become corrupt and controlled by special-interest groups. I fear and distrust the neoconservatives more than the rabid liberals. If we had a viable third party, I think I'd vote for them.
