The week in review.....

Went through a few more boxes this week. I feel like I've accomplished something significant. But I look around and see all the work that still needs to be done.

Stayed at home on Tuesday, when we had a winter storm warning, so I made chili, chicken soup, and bread.

Had an in-person interview on Wednesday afternoon. I'm still waiting to hear the results. I just don't like not knowing.

This weekend, I have a box of binders to go through, along with 2 boxes of old computer books and 2 boxes of old computer magazines.

dunno if you care - but you can find PDF torrents of lots of old computer magazines. That for me was really handy to know, because otherwise there's no way I'd have been willing to get rid of them.

Really? I have a CD-ROM of all the issues of Byte from 1990-97, so I can get rid of the paper versions. And as for Communications of the ACM, I think they've all been digitized, but I'd have to be an active ACM member to access the archive.

But the bottom line is I haven't accessed them in over 5 years.

you can also find a lot of torrents just looking on the piratebay. (I'm currently seeding at least 80 gigabytes of vintage computer magazines ;-)
