This morning, M had her KinderMusic class. I stayed home to get some things done.

Later, we stopped at M's day care center. They were having their quarterly carnival/open house. We brought goodies for the bake sale. One of the radio stations had their remote unit there. It wasn't as grandiose as the one they had earlier in the year, but it was OK. M won enough tickets at the games to pick a pair of sunglasses and an egg of Silly Putty. She also had a butterfly made of balloons, but it popped when she struck it against the floor.

And then there was the wedding of Will and Sarah. The ceremony went very well. We sat in the back in case M caused a fuss. If she did, we could whisk her out quickly.

Then we went to the reception. Ramon -- the groom's brother and one of the groomsmen -- told me that even though our RSVP got munged, there was still room for us at one of the tables, and that he'd take care of us. (Thank you Ramon! We appreciate what you've done!) There were seats, we found a high chair, and the food was great. We left early because M was getting tired and cranky, and R and I were getting tired of chasing her.

Surreal moments:
* Hearing Muzak versions of "Torn Between Two Lovers" and "All By Myself" at the beginning of the reception, when people were arriving, getting seated, and milling about. Who picked these songs? They're not happy love songs!
* Watching a few of the single young (twentysomething) females get drunk and start hitting on a few of the single young males there. Were these friends or relatives of the bride or the groom? And when did wedding receptions replace singles bars? (Maybe I'm getting jaded and cynical in my old age, but there are advantages to having a cash bar vs. an open bar.) Someone please ask the DJ to play "Looking For Love (In All The Wrong Places)" by Johnny Lee. :-{

Perhaps thats what I did wrong. I needed to get drunk and hit on all the nice looking guys there ;-)
I believe those young ladies you are taking about are friends of Sarah.
I thought the wedding and reception were very nice but my cold hit me hard mid-reception, I felt horrible and couldnt breathe. So my fun ended there.

Yeah, but those "relationships" don't last very long.
Oh I know I was just kidding LOL.

One of the young ladies was very interested in Eric.
Most young ladies are interested in Eric. I mean Jen still drools over him. I don't really see why girls drool after him like that, he is cute and all but I think I know to much about him. My best friend is his best friend. He tells me lots about Eric and Eric most likely knows way to much about me. Neither of us have a desire to be each others friend just because we have the same best friend. Go figure.
