More computer woes.....

I was downloading mail this afternoon while moving data to a Zip disk. As soon as the mail downloaded, I got the evil BSOD. The one that says something about full-stop and dumps my memory to disk.
The files I was moving were lost; I had to receover them from a 6-month-old backup. And the email files got corrrupted, so some of my messages were lost, despite my best efforts to salvage them. I'm back up now, but I'm missing some recent (today's) mail.
I hate when this happens. Even though I won't care in about 6 months about this data.
I think this is Someone's way of telling me that I spend too much damn time on computers.
