As some of you know, I started growing a beard right before Christmas. We had a huge snowstorm, and I stopped shaving. Now that it's spring, I'm considering shaving it off and going clean-shaven again. (Some men grow beards only during the winter.)

This year, I thought it filled in nicely, especially around the chin. The last two times I tried, it never filled in.

I'm not going to vote w/o a with and without picture to compare.

You may find that facial hair causes a problem with some potential employers. Stupid that people make decisions based on that kind of thing, but they often do. You can grow one later if you decide it fits the corporate culture.

There's also what's written in the company's formal dress code, and what gets funny looks according to the prevailing corporate culture. those can be very different things.

[livejournal.com profile] bikergeek has a good point about potential employers. Stupid these days that that would be a(n) (unspoken) hiring criterion, but it is one, nonetheless. Besides, comparing the two pics, I must say the clean shaven one looks much better (in my opinion) than does the fuzzy faced one. Some people's looks tend toward the reverse, but you look better with your full face showing.
