On one of the other boards I frequent, someone mentioned dog breeding, dog showing, and that dogs have to have the right temperament for both. The person went on about a particular dog that had a temperament more suited for an attack dog than a show dog.

Which got me thinking......some days I feel like I'm an attack dog, like an akita or a pit bull, snarling and ready to sink my jaws without warning into the first person who provokes me. And when I do....look out!

How does my attack dog serve me? I believe that if people knew I was that way, they wouldn't taunt me or mess with me. Or they'd go out of their way to avoid me.

I any case, I ought to post a warning sign. Or better yet, learn to keep my inner attack dog in check and warn people if my dog is about to attack.

This is related to the last post about this that I commented on ...
IMO, the "inner attack dog" doesn't serve you at all but it would drive people away. Which is ultimately not what you want, is it?

I know I can't have it both ways -- to have both solitude and people close to me in my life.
-I actually know that feeling very well actually. Sadly it is next to impossible to achieve as it just will not work that way and it just ends up causing more problems that it is worth in the long run. *hugs him*
