I greatly prefer the coffee (and free wireless internet) of Dayton's gourmet coffee roaster, Boston Stoker, to the bold, dark roast of that Seattle mermaid place. Plus they got tea, tobacco (even though I don't smoke) and European chocolate!

I like coffee in the AM, but after noon, I'll switch to decaf or tea.

I prefer patronizing local coffee places to big chains. For example, I'd go to Java on Ocean, where I did standup comedy last night, even if I wasn't doing comedy, because I like the place. They have free wireless Internet access, and they even serve stuff that isn't sweetened with refined sugar so I can eat there, too!

Caffeinated beverages are now nonstarters. But I like herb tea (and tisanes, and whatever). Both at home and at work -- who has time, money, or energy for coffeehousen when there are kids to wrangle?

I never drink coffee (yuck!), and pretty much the only time I drink tea is when I'm eating at a Chinese restaurant. I somewhat like tea; I'm just not in the habit of getting it.

There's a new coffee place in Springfield called Coffee Connections. I like to support the little guy. :-)

Me too. I'm a firm believer in "Support Your Local Roaster". A NOLJ-friend (that's "not on LiveJournal") who lives up in Buffalo much prefers Cafe Aroma to Starbucks also.

I generally drink more tea than coffee. But ... when I am in the US I really love to go to Starbucks even if I could likely get better coffee at home. It's mostly cuz we don't have one in Hamburg, and cuz I like their choice of cookies/cake to go with the coffee ... and cuz once in a while I crave a Frappuchino ...

my favorite hot beverage is mocha - combination of hot chocolate and coffee. Hot chocolate runs a pretty close second, though, and I'll drink tea willingly enough. Coffee, though, tastes as bad as it smells good, which is a damn shame.

I like to drink hot chocolate with friends at their homes. I rarely drink the stuff - most commercial packet mixes have partially hydrogenated oils which I make a great effort to stay away from. I do like Starbucks' hot chocolate - most of the time I've had those, it's to help keep me awake while driving.

I never liked the smell or taste of coffee or tea of any kind.
