My body awoke at 3:00am. Grr argh.
I left the light on in the loft area. It's one of those old halogen torchiere lamps that I've had for years. Didn't they recall them for being a fire hazard?
I'm still wondering how I can keep a few outstanding bills from going to collections. I hate having to transfer balances between cards, but if I have to resort to giving business to their competition in order to make this happen, then so be it.
Most of the people who've called me about these bills have been patient, kind, and understanding when I explain my situation to them (again). But there have been a few that weren't interested in my story -- they only wanted to know when I can pay them. I've thought about responding, "I'm sorry, that information is classified", followed by "I could tell you, but I'd have to kill you."
Does anyone out there know anything about the Orion Society? Somehow, I ended up on their email list, and I've been getting links to articles on their online magazine ever since. From their website, there mission statement is "to inform, inspire, and engage individuals and grassroots organizations in becoming a significant cultural force for healing nature and community."
Michael Sembello's "Maniac" would be a great song for DDR (Dance Dance Revolution). That is, if one's an expert at the game. What's the metronome setting on that song? Oh yeah, I love the reference to "the real-time world", which is what I use to refer to reality, versus the online cyberworld.
Who or what is putting the extra blank lines at the end of my posts and responses?
Some fresh coffee (with cream and sugar) would really taste good right now. But I want to get back to sleep shortly.
Here come the warm jets. One's flying above me right now.
I'm thinking Eudora 5.2.1 may be the source of my memory leaks and my drop-carriers. Do I upgrade or switch? Has anyone tried out Mozilla Thunderbird? And how difficult would it be to migrate?
What am I going to do today?

Date: 2006-02-23 06:27 pm (UTC)This one sits in the corner of the loft area.
I had another one downstairs, but I went through bulbs every three months, so I took it out, replaced the lamp assembly with a standard light bulb socket, and is now in the garage. Either it was defective, or it couldn't handle the thermal shock being close to a window (with blinds) or outside wall.
