Mail trays 4-8 and 10.....

My tax forms are done! They were dropped in the mail today. Because I worked in so many locations, I couldn't use e-file. :(
Now that tax season is over for me, I went through two trays of mail today. (These are "10H" trays, which are 10" wide and app. 12" deep.) I went through two trays of mail on Tuesday, and 1-2 trays two weeks ago. That means I'm about halfway done with the mail go-thru project.
Tray 6 had a bunch of pamphlets in them. I'm a sucker for things like travel brochures, product information, and other such printed stuff. But having the web means I don't have to hang on to these things, as long as I have a URL. (There's still some left.)
Trays 4 and 10 were mostly credit card applications from a few years ago. I shredded the applications and dumped eveything else. Why did I keep these? [Updated 21:51] Because I said I'd take care of them later and kept putting it off. In any event, I'm happy to not be getting these any more.
There are still some newsletters I need to skim through. If I've had them this long and I haven't needed anything from them, chances are I don't need anything from them. But I still want to skim through them just in case.
And I now have a cardboard tote full of junk mail that's been gone through and can be dumped in the recycle bin at the local dump.
(Trays 1-3, 9, and 11 still need to be gone through. I'll start tackling them tomorrow or Monday. I can't do house projects on the weekend )
