.....while I wait the required 10-15 minutes for the lock on my email program to expire after I've been dropped while in the middle of downloading email to Eudora. Again.

In the meantime, I got questions. My LJ-friends have answers. I hope.

If I got DSL or cable-based broadband, would I still get these damn drop-carrier events?

What is the difference between a no-hitter and a perfect game?

Why is a bass clarinet not called a tenor clarinet? In other words, why does the clarinet family not follow the nomenclature of the saxophone family (soprano, alto, tenor, baritone, bass)?

Has Kate Bush released any albums since "The Red Shoes"? (Oh yeah. "Aerial", which is still on my wish list.)

Does anyone still write code in Ada?

Why do I have such great ideas for songs, but only get to write one or two lines of them?

Who moved my cheese?

Have you experimented with other email clients? I use Mozilla Thunderbird with no problems.

Yes, Thuderbird can import email from Eudora.

Here is what they say about system requirements. Despite what they say, I don't see why processor speed would be crucial.

Operating Systems

* Windows 98
* Windows 98SE
* Windows ME
* Windows NT 4.0
* Windows 2000
* Windows XP (Recommended)

Minimum Hardware

* Pentium 233 MHz (Recommended: Pentium 500MHz or greater)
* 64 MB RAM (Recommended: 128 MB RAM or greater)
* 52 MB hard drive space

Have you thought about upgrading to Eudora 7?
