The phone battery saga continues.....

A couple days ago, I wrote about searching for a phone battery. That night, I found one at Meijer. (Let's hear it for open 24x7 supermarkets/big-box stores!) It wasn't exactly the right size -- the replacement battery was slightly smaller -- but it fit.

So, after installing it and charging the battery for the requisite 16 hours, do I have a working phone? No. I'm still getting the same result. It's telling me "Out of range" when it's sitting on the cradle of the base station.

*sigh*

I suppose the moral of this story is to not buy anything on the clearance rack at the local office supply store.

There's a way to "register" my handset, but by the time I get to that menu, the phone blinks out. Grr argh!
