Black cat stories....
Oct. 31st, 2006 09:22 amI own a black cat. His name is Merlin. (I should post pictures of him here.) I adopted him 7 years ago. He's a big boy -- 18 pounds at his last vet visit. He's the "bouncer" at the Line of Death Bar & Grill.
Some of the things he does are quite comical.
- He "helps" me go to the toilet. While I'm taking care of business, he comes up to me and rubs his face against my leg.
- He lets me know when his food dish is empty.
- He has an aversion to dark-colored clothing, especially socks and slippers. If he sees one on the floor, he'll cautiously avoid it or paw at it. I've seen him accidentally catch it with one of his claws, and he lept up and backward. R and I call that trick "the evil slipper monster".
Is it bad luck if he crosses my path? Only if I trip over him or step on him.
Do you own a black cat? Do you have any humorous stories to share?
