I must have enough stuff to do at home to keep me occupied for a month. That is, if I want to keep working at it non-stop. I find that I can best tackle the house clutter in 2-hour chunks.

I just finished goiing through some notes from my job hunt from 2004-06. I've kept a few of the newspaper clippings pertaining to job interviews, since I feel that's my weak area. I just need to remember to be confident but not over-confident.

The next step is to vacuum the newly-uncovered carpet.

Thank goodness I still have all my utilities working -- electricity (I have electric heat), a phone line, my cell phone, running water, and cable TV. Worst case scenario is to move stuff away from the fireplace and camp out in my home.

Oh. I found three more pairs of liner socks last night. I was cleaning out the underwear and sock drawers and found them, including a pair that was still in the bag. I thought I was going to have to buy some more pairs, since I was using only one pair last week when it was frigid out. I even went to a sporting goods store over the weekend, but they were sold out of liner socks. I now have 4 pairs that I can use -- almost one for every day of the week! That's much better than wearing the same pair every day (eewwww).

What are liner socks? They're socks made out of a material that's supposed to wick away moisture from the foot to the outer sock (cotton or wool). They help keep my feet dry and warm. And when they're dry and warm, so am I.

One such pair is the Wigwam Gobi Liner, made of polypropylene and spandex. They're available at sporting goods and outdoor shops -- Dick's, Gander Mountain, Eastern Mountain Sports, et al. I don't think the big-box discount department stores carry them.

(Does anyone know how I can specify a mood icon for moods that aren't in the standard mood table?)

Shout-outs: Happy birthday [livejournal.com profile] ciananguissette! (One of these days, I'll learn how to spelll your LJ-name. :) )

You just type it in next to the icon in place of the standard mood. There should be a little box thingy that the text is already in...

(that was clear as mud...)
