Menu Foods announces recall of moist dog and cat foods sold in packets.

We checked this out when they posted the list this weekend. I am happy to say that nothing we feed the cats or the dog is part of the recall. Thank goodness!

So did I. Apparently dry food (which is what I feed my cats) is not on the recall list. Yay!

I know and unfortunatly I did buy the stuff for my mother's cat curtis. He's very sick and we're very broke. We'll see if our vet will give us money from the emergancy funds and take a post dated check.

Summert Street Cat Clinic in Buffalo NY is noted for their devotion to kitties and they have worked with us in the past. So we are hopefull.

He got sick last monday, started vometing a real lot, and all but refusing food, All the while he was so very listless we thought he was gonna pass in our arms. By Tueday he was vomiting a bit of blood, so we took him off all food and just fed him milk, water, and butter. By yesterday he was so chilled and listless that I added a bit of bacon greese to his diet and we made a huge roast for our dinner and have been warming up and feeding him the juices.

He's gotten a bit better today, and has even tried a bit of dry food.

Still we intend to call our vet.
